The L&L is one of our favorite spots on the Cape! What draws us back year after year is the cozy atmosphere, the wonderful hospitality of Tom and Alice, the great breakfasts and the fantastic location that puts you in striking distance of the Cape's beaches, hiking trails and other attractions. Unlike many inns that are pet tolerant, the L&L is truly pet friendly. We love the winters on the Cape and routinely visit the L&L around the holidays, when Barnstable is "dressed" for the season.

We've always found this B&B to a welcome respite in any time of year. Fireplaces in the rooms add to the charm. The hosts are always willing to provide assistance, information, kitchen supplies, local triva and folklore. The homemade granola with yogurt is an excellent start in the morning. All rooms have their own unique character. Highly recommend, but you have to love dogs - they're people too!

What could be sweeter than surround-pool/hot tub rooms--- including the breakfast breezway and convenient kitchenette--- comfortable and cozy sleeping quarters and fireplaces? Well, add gracious hosts, gorgeous landscaping, walks to town and beaches, and you've arrived at one of the nicest B & B's in my travels. The attention to details like fresh lillies in our suite, an outdoor hot shower and homemade quiche for breadfast makes the Lamb and Lion a place worth returning to on an annual basis.

We love the lamb and Lion. It is the best cost-value on the cape in oour view. Alice puts out very creative breakfasts and Tom is a real comedian. They make sure your days are filled with whatever you are in the mood for. Great pool. Hot tub is a nice say to relax with a cocktail or after dinner. Highly recommend it.

The Lamb and Lion is such a great find. Each room has it's own unique decor and cape cod charm. It is so relaxing and the innkeepers are wonderful. They do an incredible job making sure their guests have everything they need from a homemade breakfast at leisure to reservations or suggestions on what to do for the day. Tom and Alice always go all out to make everyone feel at home. They have 4 of the cutest dogs you will ever see. My son was crying when we had to leave because he was going to miss them so much. The Inn is situated for easy access to all that the cape has to offer. Don't forget to ask them for the driving tours they have written up. These great little tours guise you to the best places the Cape can show you. We can't wait to go back again!

We have been staying at the Lamb and Lion for two weeks in Sept. since 1989 to celebrate our wedding anniversaries. The Inn has gotten better and better through each change in ownership. Alice and Tom have made many significant improvements during their tenure and the Inn has achieved a very high level of comfort, and more importantly, provides a friendly and helpful environement.
The location is ideal because it provides pleasant and relaxing surroundings while still making it possible to convieniently go anywhere on the Cape.
Given that the Inn is comfortable, well maintained and in a great location it's best points lie in the friendly, efficient and always helpful innkeepers. Alice and Tom do everything possible to make their guests comfortable and well informed of the things to do on the Cape. They make the inn a pleasant and cheerful place where guests can truely relax and feel at home.
We look forward to celebrating our forty nineth wedding anniversary with Alice and Tom in September.
Carole and Joe

We have stayed a number of times at Lamb and Lion (always in the Barn) and each experience has been a pleasure. From great breakfasts, to pet friendly atmosphere, to a convenient location, Lamb and Lion never dissapoints. Celebrating New Years 2008 in the hot tub was a highlight this year. And you will need to see the picture hanging over the upstairs toilet in the Barn - Tom and Alice also have a good sense of humor! Next time we stay we are hoping that the TV has been upgraded to an HD flat screen - then a five star rating is guaranteed.

My husband and I are longtime vacationers to pet-friendly Inns/hotels/motels on Cape Cod & Nantucket, and Lamb & Lion is the BEST INN on the Cape, Nantucket & Martha's Vineyard!!!!!! Ali & Tom along w/ Willi, Gracie, Miss Molly, & Jeepers are all incredibly warm & friendly hosts so helpful & accommodating to us as well as our 2 dog kids!!! Great Concierges!!!!!!!
Ali's breakfasts are so delicious and healthy. Tom and Ali's decor in the rooms are so beautiful, and incredibly maintained with all of their hard work!!! The hardest part of our trip to the Lamb & Lion was leaving. Our first trip to the Lamb and Lion was in January and it was great to have a fireplace, Wi-Fi and our stays @ L&L felt like home, we kept coming back to the Inn. Now the Cape is home THANKS to Tom & Ali!!!!

tom and alice are clearly experts at what they do..making folks feel right at home in their home with no expectations and all the comforts and delights of "home" including the fabulous pool and outdoor shower, both of which are "to die for " at a B&B...the environment encourages socialization, if one chooses, and their guests are worth spending time with...my 3 sisters and i were there in late june of this year and were enamored of this very special spot in barnstable...it was our annual "sister summer solstice" event and our second time on the cape...this place so delighted us that we discussed next year's stay with alice looking at a suite there which would accomodate us 4 in one space....what made us most happy was being able to travel about the cape during the day and come "home" to a swim in the pool, a shower under an inviting summer sky, and a game of cribbage ( there is a unique breezeway; breakfast room, lounge, game room, rainy day spot which also needs mentioning) followed by a walk to town for dinner....breakfast boasts it own delights including home-made granola...we are going back next summer solstice...

We love this place! We travel the country and the world, and there is no place we look forward to returning to more than Lamb and Lion. It is our home away from home when we visit family on Cape Cod. We've stayed there during all four seasons, for a weekend or a week, and each stay has been perfect. We love the open schedule for a casual breakfast, always featuring a yummy home-baked treat. Often we're hauling bikes or a kayak, and Tom and Alice can not only accommodate us, but also have great suggestions about places to go. We're avid "foodies", and Tom and Alice are experts on the culinary highlights of the Cape. When we open the door to our favorite "lair", the stresses of daily life melt away. Lamb and Lion is the best!

I was originally referred to this amazing bed and breakfast a few years ago through a friend. This place is amazing, Tom and Alice were extremely friendly and accommodating. They knew so much about the area, and showed my Fiance and I a great time! The location is perfect, and the rooms were great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to have an experience they will never forget! Thank you Tom and Alice!

My husband and I celebrated our engagement at the Lamb & Lion 3 years ago and were serenaded by "Elvis" while in the hot tub. A memorable experience!
Tom and Alice are such a terrific couple. They made our stay there very special that weekend and each time we've returned it's been like a reunion with them and with the pups.

My family and I have been vacationing at The Lamb and Lion Inn for nine years. The gracious hosts Tom and Alice take great pride in their Inn and are always there to help with places to go and things to do. I love the coziness of the Inn with all its charm, pool, hot tub and beautiful rooms. My favorite is the breakfast with homemade cakes, jellies and their delicious granola. My family has become very attached to the "little" doggies and look forward to them every visit. We will surely be back again nest year. Sandy

We came to stay and never left! The friendliest, best run Inn on the Cape! The Inn keepers know their stuff and never stop improving their beautiful Inn and unique amenities. A special place run by special people with 4 special dogggies. And pet friendly, too!

We have stayed at the Lamb and Lion Inn several times, and each time was fantastic. It is so comfortable and convenient for all of the Cape. The breakfasts are marvelous and the owners are wonderful hospital people! We have stayed in many B&B's and this one is the best we have ever found. We are so pleased to be able to tell others about this magical place!!! We are from Colorado and enjoy being so close to the sea as well as the seafood so the Lamb and Lion is a perfect spot for us. Thanks!!!!!

I have been at the Lamb and Lion numerous times. Everytime it was a joy to stay there. The hosts, Alice and Thom, attend to every detail posibble and are great hosts. I have travelled all over the world and the Lamb and Lion is on my personal A-list. As a matter of fact, friends from Europe, to .whom I had previously recommended the Lamb and the Lion, are coming back this months for a repeat visit. And they are demanding world travellers. I cannot say enough about this wonderful, amazing place.

We just returned today from our second stay at the Lamb and Lion and this time around it was AMAZING! My boyfriend and I are 'young' travelers so sometimes we're not taken seriously but Tom and Alice gave us the respect and hospitality that they would give any patrons. They were always ready to give us directions and point out great local and well-known spots for us to see. Our room was very clean and private. The people who also stay at this Inn are very friendly and hanging out by the pool felt like hanging out with family and friends. Its location is not only secluded enough to feel private but its also close to many things to do. i would recommend this to families, young couples, older couples... pretty much anyone!

Our only complaint of the Lamb and Lion was that our two visits were too short! Our Inn Keepers were absolutely wonderful and warm, gave great advice on local sights, and put at a wonderful breakfast spread. The granola was AMAZING! The dogs were a constant source of entertainment and the rooms so welcoming and comfortable. Alice and Tom really made us feel welcome and part of the family. We highly recommend the Inn and feel honored to call Tom and Alice our friends.
