The estate dates back to 1790 and was originally a farmhouse. As you enter the front door and foyer, you are immediately aware of the English country décor accented by warm colors and elegant, but comfortable furnishings. To your left you'll see our elegant dining room decorated in warm golds, with hardwood floors and fireplaces. To your right you'll note the more formal club room decorated in dark green, royal blue and a just hint of gold. Straight ahead and to the right lies the more casual and spacious library with fireplace at one end, a 100 year old grand piano at the other end along with French doors opening out onto the expansive outdoor deck. The library is decorated in red with mahogany leather furnishings with several cozy sitting areas for reading, listening to music or just relaxing. Although all our rooms offer data ports, the upstairs foyer offers a study complete with telephone and computer for checking your e-mail or simply searching the internet. The main house has beautifully decorated guest rooms and our renovated carriage house and guest house offer eight additional guests rooms. Outside, the estate’s picturesque grounds and gardens, all surrounded by 150 year old vine-covered stone walls, await your leisurely stroll. A walk through our gardens brings you to the carriage house and guest house situated 75 yards from the main house.

My husband and I stayed here 12 years ago and loved it..which is why we returned this year..(kids are FINALLY grown) to celebrate our marriage and love for each other. But, I have to say, without a doubt this Inn is perfection. Beautifully kept grounds, glorious gardens, (perfect for a wedding), 5 star fine dining, attentive staff, exceptional decor throughout. Besides the inn, they also have a separate "cottage" and "guest-house". Which we stayed at, had a separate living room with full windows, and also a patio deck area over-looking the woodlands. Beach access 5 min away. Kell, co-owner, was extremely kind and helpful. We hated to leave, so we booked another week in Sept.!!
We love, love, love this gem of a retreat. You'll become a regular as we have:)
