I am a professional artist, writer, naturalist and teacher. A freelancer in business since 1979, I make "beautiful tile for beautiful homes." My tiles are in homes all over the United States and a few have traveled overseas as well. In addition to creating hand-painted tile murals I do watercolors, pastels and illustrations for children's books. I write and illustrate two weekly nature columns published in two local newspapers as well as other articles and essays from time to time. My favorite subjects for both my art and my writing are the birds, animals and plants that share my world.
